Dear AEGIS Family,

AEGIS graduate, Robert L. Dilworth (known to us all as Lex), passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2009 of congestive heart failure. The Bennett Funeral Home in Glenn Allen, Virginia is handling the funeral arrangements. They are located at 11020 West Broad Street (804) 270 6321. There will be a viewing from 1:30 to 3:30 pm on Wednesday June 10th, followed by a Memorial Service. The burial will take place at Arlington Cemetery. The date and time has yet to be determined. We will let you know how to send condolences to his widow, Doris, and his family when we have more information.

Lex has had an impact on many of us and the field. His “passion” has been Action Learning. He joined the faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University after graduating from AEGIS, and has been active since his retirement with action learning work and with writing. He and Yury Boshyk have most recently compiled and edited two volumes of a definitive resource on action learning, among his many activities; and together with Schlomo Maital, Lex wrote a book entitled Fogs of War and Peace: A Midstream Analysis of World War III, published by Greenwood Publishing Group.

Our lives, and the world, are diminished by his passing.
